These are all useful questions you need to keep in mind when looking at homes!
Some people like to be in the middle of nowhere as others like to be in the big city! Be aware of your surroundings. Schools? Restaurants? Stores? Hospitals? Shopping center? Services? Is it close to all the things you want and need? proximity to your work? Easy access to places? Traffic? Parks? Are all things you need to think about when talking about location of your home.
Sometimes a neighborhood can be run down, noisy and scary. Do you feel safe here? If you have children can you see them playing in front or at the neighborhood park? How are the neighbors? Do your Neighbors have good clean landscape?
3. Size and Floor plan
Can you see yourself living in this home? Will it fit your lifestyle? Can it hold all your furniture now or will you have to sell? How many people will be living here? Do you really need all those bedrooms when you are living alone?
Does it have enough space to fit people in, or only one at a time? Is there enough counter space to cook on? Cabinets to store pots, plates and glasses? How are the appliances? Do they need updating? What kind of oven do you prefer? Gas, electric?
Do you own a lot stuff? In this new house is there enough space? How big and how many closets do you have? Do you have lots of decorations for holidays? Do your kids play sports? DO you have enough room for them to put all their smelly gear?
Do you love bright, sunny, natural lighting rooms or private rooms? You want to see where the outlets are, near windows? Is there space for you to add lighting if the room is dim?
How many bedrooms do you want and need? How big are they? Enough to fit all your furniture in? Are they attached to bathrooms? How big is the master bedroom? Closet sizes in them? Where are they located in the close? All together spread out for nice room? Will you have a guest room? Can you add or build more rooms if needed?
Are they full bathrooms? Having toilets, showers and baths? How is the counter space? How many people will be sharing the bathroom? Would there be extra bathrooms in the house?
9. Curb Appeal
You want people to be intergrade when they look at your home to wonder how is look son the inside! How big is the yard? How much maintenance will be needed? How are the windows, siding and roof? Is the sidewalk cleared off or is there weeds growing through the cracks?
10. Finishing Touches
Is the foundation okay to live on? How is the water system? Pluming? Electricity? Does the home have extra factors and amenities you can live with?
